Roberto Pancaldi joined the Techint Group in 1988, working as a process engineer, and has covered numerous roles over the course of his career.

Roberto Pancaldi joined the Techint Group in 1988, working as a process engineer, and has covered numerous roles over the course of his career.  

In 2005 Pancaldi founded the startup Tenova HYL, currently the world-leading supplier of technologies, processes, services and equipment for the Direct Reduction industry.  

In 2011 he was appointed Tenova Senior Vice President, focusing on Cold Rolling Mill and Strip Processing facilities. In 2014 he was appointed Managing Director of Thermprocessing; in 2015 Chief Operating Officer for Tenova Metals; and in 2016 Executive Vice President, overseeing downstream business. 

In January 2018 Pancaldi was appointed CEO of Tenova Metals.  

He became CEO of Tenova in April 2020.

Paolo Argenta has worked in metallurgical projects (both steel and mining) since 1995, covering a range of different executive positions in Tenova and Danieli. His work has been based in many different international locations, including Thailand, South Africa and the US. 

Argenta is currently Executive Vice President of Tenova, a position he has held since 2016, where he oversees the Upstream Business Unit, including direct reduction plants and melt shops for steel and other metals, as well as Tenova Advanced Technologies, a hydrometallurgical processing company that focuses on lithium and phosphate processing and solvent extraction.

Antonio Catalano

Antonio Catalano has worked in manufacturing for more than three decades. He began with the Techint Group in 1987, working as an automation project engineer. Starting in 2001 he held executive management positions in Italy and abroad, including three years in the UK as managing director and four years in Beijing as Chairman of Tenova Industrial Technologies. Catalano was also Chief Supply-Chain Officer from 2016 to 2020. 

Recently Catalano was made head of the Tenova Digital Transformation Department, and in April 2020 he was appointed Executive Vice President of Downstream Business

Paolo Gaboardi has worked in Tenova since 1989, when he was hired as a sales engineer. In 1996 he was made director of marketing & sales, and in 2001 he was promoted to director of Pomini, a Tenova brand recognized as a global leader in the production of roll grinders. At Pomini Gaboardi oversees a range of activities including heading the company's sales and technical offices.  

In 2010 Gaboardi was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of Pomini offices overseas (US and China), and he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Pomini in 2015.

Silvio Leoni

Executive Vice President, Material Handling Business Unit

Silvio Leoni has worked with material handling equipment (port and stockyard) for over three decades, first for Italimpianti and subsequently for Tenova, covering a range of different responsibilities including project management and business unit operations. In 2005 he was made Director of Operations for TAKRAF Italy (today Tenova Material Handling).
In 2015 Leoni was appointed Managing Director of Tenova Material Handling, where he was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2020.
