Tenova is a challenging and inspiring environment where I felt welcomed: I had the chance to see how the encounter among different ideas is nourished and how respect plays a fundamental role in the professional and personal development. These characteristics make Tenova a rare reality within the national and international environment.

Here at Tenova, I have the possibility to “get in the game” and field test the competencies I learned during my studies but I also acquire new working and analysis methods and enhance my soft skills. The experience I am living is leaving an indelible mark throughout my academic career and personal life and I think this is the best “business card” a company could have.

Here, I have the opportunity to work in an open-minded company, where it is extremely easy to collaborate and exchange opinions with colleagues from different areas and countries, making the working environment very enriching and stimulating.

Since I have had the chance to study abroad and to start developing my career, I have always been ambitious and hard-worker

For sure, becoming part of a multinational like Tenova will not be an easy path but, fortunately, I had the opportunity to meet wonderful colleagues who welcomed me making me feel “at home”. Of course, due to the pandemic, empty offices are not easy to walk through, but I am sure that I will have the pleasure to learn as much as possible from each colleague.

Every day I work hard to learn new things, and this is why I want to learn as much as possible from the international environment, in which Tenova operates.

Well that’s just over 14 year counting down to the 15th year. Since then I have never looked back and I have managed to learn so much and develop new set of skills in a dynamic world culture and environment

My work got me exposed to a vast and exciting global work environment and values.

I have had an exciting privilege to interact with colleagues, customers and suppliers in various parts of the world during manufacturing and execution of furnace smelting technology projects.

After so many years, I guess Tevova feels like my second home after my family!

Service & Spare Parts Specialist at Tenova LOI Thermprocess

Coming from a small engineering firm, I saw a huge difference from where I started at LOI. I really like the working atmosphere among colleagues: dear colleagues who trained me well, and most importantly very family-friendly.

In 2015, I was transferred to the spare parts department. This has broadened my horizon and strengthened my knowledge of furnace construction. I have a lot of research to do and work my way through ancient drawings and documents, which gives me an insight into the history. It is good to know how the development of today's technology came about.

Some colleagues are 20 years older than I am, and have taught me a lot. I hope that we, as young employees, can build upon their legacy.

n the first four years I was part of the LOI Group Controlling and Consolidation Team, where I was in charge of the controlling of few companies in Asia and in Europe. In addition, I had the opportunity to implement the reporting and controlling procedures in a Company Group acquired by LOI in 2013.

Later, I changed to the local LOI Controlling Team, where I intensively learned cost accounting, budgeting and dealing with the ERP system. Recently, I was part of an important and challenging project of the ERP roll-out, which further enriched my knowledge.

Tenova has a very good working environment because it allows everyone to share his/her ideas and opinions. As a young fresh graduate, I started with no experience but was full of ideas. Not only was I able to express myself, but I was able to act upon my ideas allowing me to help create new and better products, contribute to re-organizing and improving our production process, and participate in bigger changes to our organization and our culture. Being encouraged and enabled to contribute really makes me feel valued as an employee and a team member.

In addition, Tenova has offered more diverse career opportunities. At the age of 27, I was given the opportunity to be a team lead. Through the years, I have had access to leadership coaching, training and courses.

Additionally, through the years, my whole family has made the most of the benefit program on a regular basis allowing us peace of mind that our health and wellbeing is Tenova’s first priority.
