The Tenova Pyromet AutoFurn™ Furnace Controller is an intelligent system which provides and additional level of automation, above the SCADA and PLC.

Tenova's furnace controller is a sought after furnace management system. The controller program is written according to the process & client requirements. It is programmed to react on current furnace conditions to achieve maximum power input. The controller also enables furnace personnel to: Steady furnace power input over a wide range of operating conditions, to operate the furnace at its ideal set point, to monitor alarms and keep trends/Statistics of operation.

    In addition to providing automation control for the electrodes, Tenova Pyromet made additional improvements to the AutoFurn™ furnace controller.

    The hydraulic system,designed and supplied from Italy, allowed finer control of theelectrodes, and the AutoFurn™ controller was optimized tofully utilise the improved hydraulic control. In addition, theAutoFurn™ controller also performs automatic slippingsequences on the electrodes without requiring input fromthe furnace operators.
